About this service

We repair what can be repaired, and say plainly when it cannot. On heavily worn pieces, or a band worn thin, the repair can cost more than making a new one and its durability is limited anyway. In that case we say so straight away instead of taking money for something that will crack in six months.

The most common jobs are resizing a ring, rebuilding worn prongs holding a stone, replacing a clasp and soldering a broken chain.

With resizing, bear in mind that a ring set with stones all the way around usually cannot be changed without touching the setting. Write to us before sending it and we will assess from a photo.
