About this service

A chain is a piece where the mass of metal grows faster than intuition suggests. Doubling the wire thickness at the same length means roughly four times more metal, and so four times the material cost.

The weave decides the same thing: a curb chain uses metal differently from a byzantine one of the same width, because the links pack differently. So instead of publishing a price list, we compute the mass for the specific configuration.

You can also entrust us with your own metal, for example from old broken chains. Then you pay only for the labour and we recover the metal from what you bring.
