Wedding bands are the one piece of jewelry you wear every day for the rest of your life. It's worth choosing them wisely - and with joy.
Choosing the Metal
The metal affects durability, color, and price. Silver 925 is the most accessible option; 14k and 18k gold are lifelong choices. Here are the most popular options:
| Metal | Color | Durability | Pair price from |
|---|---|---|---|
| Silver 925 | Bright white | Good (needs polishing) | €160 |
| 14k Yellow Gold | Warm gold | Very good | €600 |
| 14k White Gold | Cool white | Very good | €650 |
| 18k Gold | Rich, intense | Good | €900 |
| 14k Rose Gold | Pinkish copper | Very good | €620 |
Ring Profiles
The profile is the ring's cross-section - it determines comfort and how it looks on your finger.
- Classic (D-shape) - rounded inside and out. Most comfortable, timeless.
- Flat - modern, minimalist. Looks best in wider variants.
- Comfort Fit - rounded inside, flat outside. Easy to put on and take off.
- Court (barrel) - double rounded. Most comfortable for wide bands.
Finishes
The surface finish changes the ring's character without changing the metal:
- Polished (mirror) - classic shine, shows every scratch
- Satin (matte) - subtle, modern, hides minor scratches
- Brushed - visible lines - industrial, masculine feel
- Hammered - hand-textured, every pair unique

Ring Sizing
A wedding band is the one piece worn without a break, so the size has to be right the first time. Resizing afterwards is often possible, but with an inside engraving or stones set all around it means touching the decoration. Print our sizer, cut the strip and measure your finger; if you already know the size, check it in the EU, US, UK and JP converter.
Two things trip people up most often: measuring in the morning, when fingers are up to half a size slimmer, and the width of the band. A band over 6 mm sits tighter than a narrow one in the same number, so go half a size up.
